As a Senior Sustainability Consultant, you will lead sustainability outcomes across major transport, water, energy and other infrastructure projects, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions that create lasting environmental, social and economic value.
With several exciting projects recently secured and a strong pipeline of work ahead, this role will play an important part in supporting the continued growth of our Queensland Sustainability team and helping us deliver meaningful impact across the region.
Drawing on your infrastructure experience and project leadership capability, you'll help clients achieve ambitious sustainability goals across some of Queensland's most significant projects. You will also play a key role in delivering sustainability strategies and IS ratings, influencing better outcomes for communities, the environment and the long-term success of critical infrastructure.
The Opportunity

Lead sustainability workstreams on major infrastructure projects, delivering whole-of-life sustainability strategies, carbon assessments, environmentally sensitive design strategies, circular economy initiatives, climate risk assessments and social value outcomes.

Lead and deliver Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) ratings and other sustainability certification schemes while embedding sustainability principles across projects.

Collaborate with clients, project managers, designers and technical specialists to develop practical, innovative and sustainable design solutions.

Manage project delivery, including budgets, resources, reporting and stakeholder engagement, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.

Prepare high-quality technical reports, presentations and proposals while contributing to business development, market analysis and the growth of our sustainability services.

Is this role right for you?

A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline, with 6-8 years' sustainability experience in infrastructure, transport or consulting environments.

Proven expertise in whole-of-life assessments, carbon footprint analysis, climate risk assessments and infrastructure sustainability rating schemes such as IS.

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, budgets and stakeholder relationships effectively.

Excellent communication skills, with experience preparing technical reports, delivering presentations and influencing clients and multidisciplinary teams.

A collaborative, adaptable and solutions-focused approach, underpinned by integrity, sound judgement and a passion for delivering sustainable infrastructure outcomes.

Fostering a collaborative team culture, supporting junior team members and helping build capability across the wider team.
