We specialise in O.E.M component manufacture to some of Australia's leading electrical companies.
Our services include precision sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting services. metal forming, welding, powder coating, assembly and shipping.
We require the services of an experienced Finance and Accounts Officer to augment our accounting team.
Position Purpose and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Company Accountant, the Finance & Accounts Officer will be part of a small team
responsible for all accounts receivable, accounts payable and general finance functions across the
business.
In this role, the key responsibilities will be:
· Maintenance of debtor's ledger including efficient credit control.
· Maintenance of creditors ledger including efficient processing of all supplier payments
· Efficient processing of all other business payments
· Maintenance of bank accounts
· Maintenance of fixed asset register
· Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures and regulations
· Provide accounting support to key decision makers within the business as and when required
Accounts Receivable
· Collection responsibilities of unpaid accounts and those outside credit terms
· Handing and resolving invoice queries in a timely manner
· Processing customer credit applications
· Participate in weekly debtors meeting
· Following policies and procedures in relation to external debt collection
Accounts Payable
· Payment responsibilities of supplier invoices including statement reconciliations
· Handling and resolving supplier queries in a timely manner
· Following policies and procedures in relation to expenditure and supplier payments
General Finance
· Daily bank reconciliation including receipting of cheques, EFT, and direct debits
· Monthly credit card reconciliations
· Reconciliation of AR and AP related General Ledger and Balance Sheet accounts
· Processing of journals as required
· End of month procedures
· Other ad hoc tasks as directed by the Company Accountant
Essential Skills/Knowledge/Experience
· Experience in working in an administrative team
· Excellent. attention to detail
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· The ability to multitask and work on your own
· Strong analytical skills and ability to extract and articulate data to wider audiences
· Proven ability to lead and deliver successful outcomes on projects
· Intermediate to advanced skills Word, Excel and Outlook
· Must have a proactive attitude, a motivation and desire to succeed
· Valid National Police Check or willingness to undertake (must have no disclosable outcomes)
· Be eligible and have the rights to work in Australia

Desirable/Knowledge/Experience
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience a similar role
· High sense of urgency, accountability and accuracy
· High level of organisational and time management skills
· Ability to work well under pressure
· High level of proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel
· Experience on SAP, or similar ERP systems an advantage
· Ability to adapt to new computer systems and changing business needs
· Ability to provide excellent customer services.
Pay: $80,000.00 per year
