The Finance Team supports the development and delivery of the commercial strategy for ANZ. It also helps manage the unit’s operations through the provision of financial management, analysis and decision support.
The Senior Financial Analyst is a core member of this team and will assume responsibility for end-to-end financial management and business partnering with the commercial unit.

Support the Annual Business Plan (ABP) and Quarterly Forecast (QF) process.

Prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts in collaboration with Commercial and Sales teams.

Coordinate with the Commercial team to gather and validate forecasting inputs.

Identify and communicate key risks and opportunities impacting business performance.

Review and analyse the ANZ P&L, including financial metrics and key business drivers.

Prepare daily and weekly sales reporting for the business.

Analyse monthly financial results against budget, forecast and prior year.

Provide variance analysis and commentary on key movements and business drivers.

Monitor product mix, pricing and cost trends to support profitability and value creation.

Ensure financial and management reporting requirements are delivered accurately and on time.

Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.

Generate insights on customer-level gross margins and account performance.

Support customer channels with financial analysis, forecasting and performance reviews.

Support tenders, contracts and ad-hoc promotional investment submissions with financial analysis.

Work with Commercial teams to understand key drivers of account performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Support Finance Manager on presentations, business reviews and ad-hoc projects.

Own the monthly trade spend accrual analysis and reconciliation for ANZ.

Support Sales teams with promotional forecasting, financial analysis and ROI evaluation.

Monitor trade investment and promotional spending to ensure alignment with business plans.

Support eSP and eCondition troubleshooting and maintenance in partnership with the Master Data Analyst.

Partner with Marketing on A&P cost management, tracking and analysis.

Support overhead ownership and monitoring.

Administer cost centres and ensure appropriate overhead coding.

Support the business with credit card management and related finance processes.

Support month-end close activities for the assigned business areas.

Work with the Shared Service Centre on month-end close, balance sheet reviews, tax and statutory reporting.

Support internal and external audit activities.

Ensure financial information is accurate and compliant with company policies and processes.

Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting, forecasting and business processes.

Support Finance Manager with ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives.

Contribute to the development and improvement of existing and new business processes.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related discipline.

Relevant experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Management Accounting or Financial Analysis.

Experience in budgeting, forecasting and P&L analysis.

Strong understanding of variance analysis and financial reporting.

Experience working with Sales, Commercial or Marketing teams in a business partnering capacity.

Experience in trade spend, promotional analysis or commercial investment is highly desirable.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.

Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial systems and reporting tools is an advantage.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across Finance and Commercial teams.

FMCG, consumer goods or retail experience would be an advantage.
