Position: Contract Administrator
Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 per annum (depending on skills and experience)
About the Role
Sai Holdings Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Contract Administrator to join our growing construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering and managing construction contracts across commercial and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, effective cost control, procurement, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer head contracts and subcontracts in accordance with project requirements and contractual obligations.
- Prepare, review and interpret contract documentation, including scopes of work, terms and conditions.
- Manage contract variations, including assessment, pricing, negotiation and formal documentation.
- Assess and process progress claims, payment schedules and subcontractor claims.
- Monitor project costs against budgets and forecasts, identifying and reporting on variances.
- Support procurement processes, including preparation of tender packages, evaluation of subcontractor submissions and recommendations for award.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records, registers and project documentation.
- Liaise with project managers, consultants and subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and contractual issues, including delays, claims and disputes.
- Assist in the preparation of cost reports, cash flow forecasts and financial tracking documentation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Australian Standards and industry codes relating to construction contracts.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum three (3) years of full-time post-qualification experience as a Contract Administrator or in a closely related role.
- Demonstrated experience working for a head contractor on commercial and/or industrial construction projects.
- Proven experience in contract administration, procurement and cost control.
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to interpret and apply contractual terms and conditions.
- Sound knowledge of cost management and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract administration software.
Work Environment
This is primarily an office-based role with regular interaction with project teams, consultants and subcontractors across active construction sites.
Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 per annum
