We are seeking an Experienced Mechanic / Automotive Technician to join our team at our Blackwood facility on a full-time basis. This is a key position within our workshop where you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse range of vehicles. You will work both independently and as part of our skilled team, utilising your technical expertise to ensure vehicles are serviced to the highest standards. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation for quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment and customer information
- Perform scheduled maintenance services including timing belt replacement
- Inspect vehicles and identify potential issues, in accordance with industry standards, before they become major problems
- Maintain accurate work records and documentation for all repairs and services completed
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures and protocols
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workshop operations
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of workshop processes and practices
What we're looking for
- Extensive experience with repairing all makes and models
- Proven competency in diagnosing and repairing vehicle mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to conduct repairs to engine, transmission, braking, suspension, and electrical systems
- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and computer-based vehicle management systems
- A current driver's licence
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Effective communication skills
- A genuine passion for automotive repair and vehicle maintenance
- Relevant automotive trade qualifications or certifications
- Experience with dyno tuning or performance work would be beneficial but isn't essential
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
