About the role
Join Iluka's commercial leadership team and play a pivotal role in supporting our Mineral Sands Operations. Based in Perth and reporting to the General Manager Commercial, you will partner with operational leaders to deliver commercial insights, financial governance, strategic analysis, and performance improvement initiatives across our Australian operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading delivery of insightful commercial analysis and recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making
Partnering with operational leaders to optimise financial performance and improve the commerciality of operations via cost management, performance tracking and risk/opportunity insights
Developing highly effective working relationships and collaborating with diverse groups of internal stakeholders to work towards common goals
Leading the accounting, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes for Mineral Sands Operations
Evaluating capital projects, production initiatives and commercial opportunities through robust financial modelling and analysis
Delivering executive-level reporting and insightful commentary to senior management
Leading and mentoring the cross-locational Commercial Mineral Sands Operations team
Championing continuous improvement across commercial processes and systems
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with a desire to build collaborative and influential relationships across all departments and locations
The ability to comprehend complex issues and apply commercial judgement to drive decision making and solve problems
A passion for leading and developing teams and delivering team outcomes
Strong financial acumen with experience in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, project evaluation and financial modelling
Ability to prepare and present high-quality and insightful deliverables for Executive and Board-level reporting
Personal drive and skills in managing multiple priorities whilst upholding high standards of timeliness and attention to detail
Experience within the mining and resources sector, with a developed understanding of mining operations, supply chain dynamics, and commodity markets
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a relevant equivalent with CA, CPA, CFA, or postgraduate (MBA) highly regarded
Advanced Excel financial modelling, PowerPoint and Word skills
