We're looking for a Junior Financial Accountant with 2+ years' experience in audit, business services or financial accounting who wants to build their financial accounting capability in a collaborative and supportive team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you'll support key financial controls and month-end processes across the business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys getting the fundamentals right and takes pride in producing accurate, reliable financial information.
You'll build hands-on experience across reconciliations, journals, compliance activities and financial reporting while developing a strong foundation in financial accounting within a listed business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Month-end activities including journals, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, provisions, cashflow reporting and FX processing
- Compliance & controls: GST/FBT/PAYE support, audit assistance, fixed asset management, governance reporting
- Operational support: stocktakes, AU/NZ/UK assistance, general finance support
About You
You're early in your accounting career and looking to deepen your financial accounting experience. You're organised, detail-focused and comfortable managing recurring monthly processes. You take ownership of your work and enjoy ensuring things are completed accurately and on time.
You’ll bring:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
- 2+ years’ audit or financial accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Advanced Excel
- High attention to detail
- Clear communication skills and confidence working with non‑finance stakeholders
- Experience with MS Dynamics 365 is a plus
