Mueller Automotive in Cairns, Far North Queensland are looking for qualified automotive mechanics. Several positions available for our busy workshops. Work on a wide variety of all makes of cars.
Monday to Friday full time.
Hours from 7.30am till 4 pm

* Over award wages apply: salary ranges $65,000 - 90,000 per annum, dependent of your level of experience
The successful applicant will have:
- Efficient time management skills
- An strong mechanical knowledge
- Trustworthy and ability to problem solving in a systematic order
- Reliable – Punctual – Dependable and Dynamic person with excellent communication skills
- Current manual drivers licence
Duties:
- Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
- Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
- Repair and replace worn and defective parts and reassemble mechanical components, and refer to service manuals as needed
- Perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
- Reassemble engines and parts after being repaired
- Test and adjust mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
- Diagnose and test parts with the assistance of computers
- May inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness
- May respond to vehicle breakdown service calls
