About the role
At BOQ Group, we believe great risk management enables better outcomes for our customers, our people and our communities. As our Senior Analyst Assurance, you’ll play a key role in strengthening our control environment by leading independent end‑to‑end reviews across the business, focusing on non-financial risks, including data risk, regulatory compliance and operational risk.
This role sits within Line 1 Risk and works closely with business leaders, Group Risk and Internal Audit to deliver practical, commercial insights that genuinely improve how risk is identified, managed and monitored. You’ll bring curiosity and rigour to your assessments, spotting opportunities to uplift controls while also helping shape the future of assurance at BOQ Group through automation and smarter, more integrated ways of working.
You’ll also have the opportunity to influence senior stakeholders, contribute to risk governance forums, support regulatory readiness, and help embed a proactive risk culture across the organisation. This is a role for someone who enjoys joining the dots, asking thoughtful questions and translating complexity into clear, actionable recommendations that support strong decision‑making.
About you
You’re someone who brings a calm, confident approach to risk and assurance, with a solid background in audit or risk management, ideally within financial services or another complex, regulated environment. You enjoy digging into how things really work, identifying root causes and sharing insights in a way that’s clear, balanced and constructive.
You’re technically strong and comfortable working across Microsoft Office tools, with a good understanding of non‑financial risk and regulatory expectations. You’re equally confident engaging with senior stakeholders as you are working through detailed analysis, and you pride yourself on your attention to detail, sound judgement and structured approach to problem‑solving.
You value collaboration and know that the best risk outcomes are achieved by working together across the three lines of defence. You’re also open to new ways of working and are interested in how automation and innovation can enhance assurance outcomes over time. Whether you bring professional certifications or are working towards them, what matters most is your curiosity, integrity and desire to make a meaningful impact.
If you’re looking for a role where your expertise will be valued, your voice will be heard and your work will genuinely help shape a stronger, more resilient organisation, we’d love to hear from you.
