Your typical day as an AO7 Principal Debt Resolution Officer may include:
- Managing complex debt collection and enforcement investigations.
- Undertaking detailed analysis of financial and legal information, providing expert advice on appropriate recovery strategies, and preparing high quality documentation for court proceedings.
- Reviewing and responding to legal correspondence while ensuring all actions comply with relevant legislation, policy and procedural requirements.
- Conducting and leading complex debt recovery actions, working closely with stakeholders, legal advisors and debt collection and enforcement officers to achieve optimal collections outcomes and compliance with relevant legislation.
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
- Extensive experience in interpreting and applying legislation in a taxes, revenue or penalty debt environment
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and advisors
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to solve problems and determine viable solutions
