Details: The Director, Digital Education (Digital Pedagogies, Artificial Intelligence and Online Safety) provides strategic leadership for the Directorate's digital learning agenda, supporting system-wide improvement in teaching, learning and student wellbeing through the effective, safe and ethical use of digital technologies.
The position leads the development and implementation of policy, strategy, professional learning and change initiatives relating to digital pedagogies, generative artificial intelligence, digital citizenship and online safety across ACT public schools.
Operating in a complex and rapidly evolving environment, the Director provides expert strategic advice to senior executives, school leaders and government stakeholders on emerging technologies, digital innovation, cyber and online safety risks, and educational technology reform. The position drives cross-directorate collaboration to ensure digital education initiatives align with the Directorate's strategic priorities and legislative responsibilities.
The Director leads a specialist team and is responsible for fostering a culture of innovation, evidence-based practice, continuous improvement and system-wide capability development.
