The hospital currently accommodates a 14 bay emergency department, 226 medical and surgical, 36 cardiac, 11 ICU, 7 Neonatal, 14 Obstetric, and 30 Oncology beds which include 15 day infusion chairs. Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Diabetes Educator to join our team at Peninsula Private Hospital. In this role, you will provide evidence-based diabetes education and clinical support to inpatients, their families, and healthcare professionals. You will play a key role in promoting safe, effective diabetes management, supporting patient self-management, and improving health outcomes across a broad range of medical and surgical specialties
Assess, educate, and support patients with Type 1, Type 2, and other forms of diabetes during their hospital admission.
About You:
We are looking for a compassionate clinician with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering patient-centred care. You enjoy working collaboratively and are confident managing the complexities of diabetes care within an acute healthcare environment.
Essential Criteria

Current registration with the relevant professional registration board (e.g. AHPRA for Registered Nurses or eligible allied health professionals).

Demonstrated experience in diabetes education and clinical management.

Knowledge of current evidence-based diabetes management guidelines.

Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
