Delivering 4 Customers (D4C) is a consortium comprising of industry leading Tier 1 organisations - John Holland, Service Stream and WSP. We are helping our client, Sydney Water, to deliver a $34 billion dollar program over a 10-year contract, providing design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services across their southern region - from Bondi to Gerringong, and out to the Georges River National Park

About the opportunity
This role's aim will be to support D4C activities with the goal of preventing harm, going beyond compliance, and improving health and wellbeing outcomes of all workers. The role requires you to travel to sites across Sydney Water's southern region and partner with our people to build a strong safety culture through good communication, teamwork and providing best advice.
Key Accountabilities
- Monitor compliance with the safety systems and procedures within the workplace and provide operational support to the project management team.
- Initiate and develop strategic health, safety and wellbeing programs and campaigns for workers at D4C.
- Support and assist the RTW coordinator with the rehabilitation process of workers who are injured.
- Support construction, maintenance and facilities management teams through inspections and monitoring activities.
- Lead ICAM Incident Investigations and workshops, and implement corrective actions and plans.
- Lead and assist with ensuring increased awareness of safety risks are identified and controlled consistently across all work sites through trend analysis and lead and lag indicators.
- Assist in the development of project risk management processes and provide ongoing support with implementation and reviews.
- Lead the use of safety systems, and support team members in their participation and use.
- Monitor and evaluate D4C safety programs effectiveness and continuous improvement.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable legislative requirements including government regulations, standards and policies.
- Support the communication of SQE requirements across D4C workplaces.
- Perform all duties in accordance with D4C and Sydney Water policies, processes, systems and procedures.
About you
- Cert IV in OHS/WHS qualification or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
- Experience working in high risk environments
- First Aid certified
- Unrestricted driver's License
- Desirable: ICAM, Trainer and Assessor, Return to Work, Working at Heights, Confined Space training
