About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to participants with varying support needs, promoting independence, community participation, and enhancing overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other daily living activities.
- Support participants with community access, including social outings, appointments, shopping, and recreational activities.
- Implement positive behaviour support strategies and effectively support participants with behaviours of concern.
- Encourage and promote participant choice, independence, and inclusion.
- Assist with meal preparation, light household duties, and medication administration (where required).
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
- Work collaboratively with participants, families, and other stakeholders to ensure quality care and support.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience supporting people with disabilities, including:
- Personal care
- Community access
- Behaviours of concern
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Working with Children Check (if applicable).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour
