Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview is a Catholic boys’ school in the Jesuit tradition. Located on picturesque grounds in Lane Cove, this leading independent school delivers a holistic education for day and boarding students from Years 5 to 12.
We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced counsellor to support the Year 7 – 12 students at our Senior Campus. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with other members of the Pastoral Care team to provide specialised assistance in regard to individual counselling, liaison and case management, referrals to external professionals/agencies as well as providing advice and resources for teachers and parents.
This is a full-time maximum term contract, stand-down position commencing 12 October 2026 for four terms. The successful candidate will be required to work 38 hours per week during term time only.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will:

be a registered psychologist with AHPRA and a member of, or eligible for membership with, the APS
-
hold formal qualifications in psychology
-
have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
-
be willing to actively promote the Catholic ethos and mission of the College
-
have experience counselling adolescent males using evidence-based interventions
-
demonstrate the ability to participate and embrace a team approach to child/adolescent wellbeing
-
exercise discretion and maintain high ethical standards
-
display sensitivity and empathy.
