The Orthoraedics service operates within a busy surgical environment featuring four operating theatres, two procedure rooms and a six-bed Intensive Care Unit, managing a high volume of both elective and emergency procedures. About the role:
Lead the Orthopaedics service across Central Queensland Health, driving clinical excellence, innovation and outstanding patient outcomes.
Provide strategic and operational leadership while fostering a culture of safety, quality improvement and continuous service development.
Mentor, educate and supervise medical staff, trainees and students, supporting workforce capability and future specialist development.
Balance executive leadership with a minimum 0.5 FTE clinical workload, maintaining an active role in specialist orthopaedic care.
Shape orthopaedic services across multiple CQ Health facilities, ensuring accessible, high-quality care that meets the needs of Central Queensland communities.
About you:
MBBS or equivalent qualification with eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
Specialist registration (or eligibility) in Orthopaedics with AHPRA, including Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).
Commitment to ongoing professional development, including enrolment and maintenance of an appropriate Continuing Medical Education (CME) program.
Passion for education, research and workforce development, with experience mentoring, teaching and supporting the next generation of clinicians.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $529,246 p.a. is comprised of:
A salary rate between $ $265,550 - $281,545 p.a. (L25 - L27)
A salary rate between $222,059 - $257,932 p.a. (L18 - L24)
12.75% employer superannuation contribution
