About the role
The Family Violence Family Safety Contact Officer(FSC) is a pivotal part of the Men’s Behaviour Change Program (MBCP) supporting intimate partners, their children and immediate family members.
We are looking for an experienced Family Violence Victim Survivor (VS) Practitioner for 12 months to fill a maternity position. This position involves ‘cold calling’ as new clients come into the program. The aim of the role is to connect with the victim survivors and support their safety needs and ensure that their narrative informs the MBCP work.
The successful applicant will be required to complete MARAM’S, assess risk, complete safety plans, engage with other key agencies that work with the VS and make referrals to relevant services. As per the Minimum Standards you would be working with the Adult’s Using Violence Practitioners ensuring that the behaviour change work is victim survivor informed.
What you need
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proficiency working in the Family Violence sector particularly with victim survivors.
- A dynamic and passion for collaborative teamwork.
- Excellent time management.
- A current working with children’s check.
- Prepared to have a Police Check.
- A current Victorian Drivers Licence.
