The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Tax Manager to join our Melbourne Tax Services team. This role offers exposure to a diverse client base and a broad range of tax matters, including domestic and cross-border advisory and compliance. You’ll work closely with Partners and other service lines to deliver high-quality outcomes, while also leading and developing a growing team.
This role would suit an experienced Tax professional who enjoys combining strong technical expertise with people leadership and client relationships, and who is looking for a clear pathway to future career progression.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality tax advisory and compliance services across corporate and international tax matters, including complex transactions and CbC reporting
- Provide technically sound, commercial advice to clients operating across a range of industries and jurisdictions
- Assist with complex technical issues and ATO matters, working closely with Partners
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
- Manage and mentor team members, including delegation, coaching, performance management and development
- Contribute to the strategic planning and growth of the Tax Services division
- Identify business development opportunities and support cross-division collaboration
- Ensure work is delivered on time, within budget, and in line with quality standards
What We’re Looking For
- A relevant university qualification with 5+ years’ experience in business tax (Manager level)
- Postgraduate qualifications such as CA, CTA and/or a Masters of Tax
- Proven experience in a tax advisory or professional services environment
- Strong technical capability across corporate and/or international tax
- Demonstrated experience managing client engagements and leading teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative, relationship-driven approach aligned to our CARE values
- Strong attention to detail, commercial acumen, and the ability to juggle competing priorities
