Join Horizon Power as a
Distribution Design Engineer and play a key role in upgrading and improving critical electricity infrastructure across remote Aboriginal communities throughout Western Australia. This role sits within our Remote Communities division and supports the Critical Distribution Network Program, a significant initiative focused on improving network safety, reliability and compliance.
Working across a diverse portfolio of projects, you will deliver end-to-end distribution network designs and work packages, supporting the replacement and renewal of critical network infrastructure in some of WA's most remote locations.

Your role in action:
- Deliver overhead and underground distribution network designs and work packages for critical infrastructure projects.
- Produce and review technical drawings, calculations, estimates and supporting design documentation.
- Conduct site inspections, define project scopes and coordinate technical requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support construction delivery through works packaging, contractor coordination and project governance activities.
- Travel to remote communities across WA to support network planning, design development and project delivery.
What you’ll bring:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent power systems qualification.
- Experience designing overhead and underground distribution networks.
- Experience developing work packages, scopes and supporting construction activities.
- Strong understanding of utility design standards, network operations and engineering best practice,
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities across a diverse portfolio.
