About the Role
MCA Engineering is seeking experienced Handheld Drillers to join our team for ongoing projects in Mt Isa. In this role, you will operate handheld rock drills and associated equipment to support civil and mining construction activities. You will carry out drilling tasks safely and efficiently while working as part of a team to deliver high-quality outcomes across surface mining and industrial projects.
Starting indicative pay rates (under the Enterprise Agreement) from $68–$75 per hour (plus drilling allowances), depending on skills, experience and qualifications.

About You

Current driver's licence with no restrictions
- Minimum 2 years' experience operating handheld rock drills or similar equipment
- Experience in mining, civil construction or heavy industrial environments
- Ability to work safely in physically demanding conditions
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to follow work instructions and site procedures
- Mining experience is highly regarded
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol testing
