Director – Community Based Pre-school
Merrylands Christian Pre-schools Association as a ministry of Merrylands Anglican Church have operated two single class pre-schools for over 40 years and is committed to prioritising the safety, protection and inclusion of children from many backgrounds. We run quality play based school readiness programs for 3-5 year olds during state school terms.
We are looking for the right applicant/s who will be an experienced and dedicated early childcare trained professional/s to lead our team of wonderful educators.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- To hold relevant Diploma or ECT qualifications
- Current Child Safe, Child Protection, Working with children Check/ First Aid requirements.
- Demonstrate experience in leadership with director experience preferred.
- Be passionate about encouraging staff and working collaboratively to enhance our service and the care we provide to children and their families.
- To be able to drive policy and procedures revision and implementation in conjunction with the Management committee, staff and stakeholders so as to continue and uphold our aim of best practice and maintain or grow our quality services.
- Be an active and committed Christian who can work within the ethos of our organisation.
- While this position is mainly a non teaching role, willingness to relieve on the floor from time to time is an expectation.
- Be able to demonstrate / explain their own personal teaching philosophy in relation to EYLF.
- Must be willing to complete a National Police Check as part of the employment process.
- Please note you must have a right to live and work in Australia to be able to able for this position.
