We are a bulk-billing medical centre looking for an experienced Registered Nurse. Our business hours are 7am-3pm Monday to Friday, and 8am-1pm Saturdays. All applicants must have current AHPRA registration, up-to-date immunisation history, CPD, and at least 1 year experience working in a general practice.
Qualifications
- AHPRA Nurse registration.
- CPR/first aid training certificate.
- COVID-19 vaccine certificate.
- Cold chain breach certificate.
- Infection prevention and control certificate.
- Venipuncture certificate and/or relevant training.
The successful candidate
We are looking for a nurse that has at least one year work experience in general practice, and has the following attributes:
- Have high work ethics and commitment to comply with practice policies and procedures and all industry legislation requirements.
- Have excellent communication skills verbal and in writing.
- Knowledgeable with Medicare item numbers.
- Ability and interest to support the practice growth and development.
- Computer literate and previous experience using Medical Director/Pracsoft would be an advantage.
- Experience using POLAR.
Responsibilities
- Infection Prevention and Control.
- Ordering/Managing Treatment room supplies and medications.
- Chronic Disease Management.
- Care Plans.
- Patient recalls and reminders.
- Immunisations.
- Ear Syringing.
- ECG.
- Collection of pathology specimens, including venipuncture.
- Health Assessments.
Pay: $38.00 – $48.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5.0 – 20.0 per week
