Marketing Manager
Full time permanent position — $100K + equity package
ABOUT RESMART
We started with a scooter and a pink bag. Today we’re Australia’s leading doorstep recycling platform, 450,000+ Pickups completed, 2.3 million kg diverted from landfill, and partnerships with Qantas, Westpac, Canva and more. We operate in every capital city and are scaling fast.
Our mission is simple: make recycling easy, accessible and rewarding for every household, business and council in Australia, and eventually beyond.
THE ROLE
This is a builder role. You’ll be operating in a lean startup environment: meaningful ownership, no red tape, and the freedom to run experiments fast. You’ll own end-to-end marketing across three channels (B2C, B2B, B2G), create content people actually want to watch, and help drive the growth of a business doing something that genuinely matters.
You’ll report to our General Manager and work closely with the founders, tech, operations and sales team.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN
- Campaign & project management: drive launches of new services and geographic expansions end-to-end, from brief to post-mortem.
- Digital marketing & growth experiments: own our organic and owned-channel digital strategy. Run structured experiments, analyse results, iterate fast. Channels include email, social and emerging platforms: you’re hands-on, doing it yourself, not briefing an agency.
- Content creation: you make content, not just brief it. Reels, carousels, copy, campaigns. You’re comfortable in front of a camera or behind one, and you stay on top of what’s actually performing. Portfolio required.
- CRM & retention: own newsletters and lifecycle journeys across B2C, B2B and B2G. Build and run the loyalty program. Drive reactivation and frequency through personalised, data-led engagement.
- Social media & community: run Instagram and LinkedIn day-to-day, as well as our other channels (Facebook, TikTok, YouTube). Stay ahead of trends. Keep our community engaged and growing.
- Sales collateral & events: arm B2B and B2G teams with sharp decks, one-pagers and case studies. Coordinate conference participation.
- Marketing strategy & execution: contribute to the marketing plan across all three channels — then execute it yourself. No handoff to another team.
- Brand partnerships & growth: identify and activate partnerships with like-minded brands that grow our reach. Think GreenPan, Qantas: who’s next?
- Stakeholder & investor communications: support investor updates and manage communications with key stakeholders.
YOU’RE THE ONE IF YOU…
Non-negotiables:
- Startup experience: you’ve worked in an early-stage or scale-up environment and you know what it means to make do with limited resources.
- Strong digital marketing foundations: you understand performance marketing, email and social not just as tactics but as a system. You read the data, form a hypothesis, test it yourself, and move on.
- A content creation portfolio: you can show us work. Reels, campaigns, copy, brand social. Not ‘managed an agency that did this’, work you actually made.
- Comfortable with both strategy and execution: you can write a 90-day marketing plan in the morning and build a Canva asset in the afternoon. Neither feels beneath you.
- Native English speaker: this role is the voice of our brand. We’re a proudly diverse team with many accents and backgrounds, and that’s something we love. For this specific role, native English is essential.
Strong to have:
- Experience across B2C and B2B audiences: adapting tone and channel mix for very different buyers
- CRM experience: Mailchimp, HubSpot.
- A genuine passion for sustainability, circular economy or impact-driven businesses
- Experience with brand or co-marketing partnerships
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field
