Job Description:
As a Financial Investment Accountant at Skycorp, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing our financial investment activities. You will ensure accuracy and integrity in financial reporting, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to the company's financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Preparation and Lodgment: Handle the preparation and lodgment of various tax obligations, including BAS (GST), FBT, Payroll Tax, and PAYG.
- Prepare and review financial statements related to investment activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes for investment accounts.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support investment decisions.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for investment projects.
- Collaborate with auditors and manage audit processes for investment-related financials.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data related to investments.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls for investment operations.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and investment regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
