Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and learning practical skills? We're looking for a motivated and reliable Apprentice Grounds & Garden Maintenance to join our team based in Newcastle.

As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced team members maintaining a variety of commercial and council contract sites across the Newcastle region. Every day is different, and you'll travel between multiple locations to help keep gardens and outdoor spaces looking their best.
Your duties will include:

Lawn mowing and edging
- Whipper snipping
- Hedging and pruning
- Weed control
- Mulching and garden clean-ups
- Planting and basic landscaping tasks
- General grounds maintenance
- Safe use and maintenance of gardening equipment
- Travelling between sites as part of a mobile maintenance team
We're looking for someone who:

Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Is physically fit and willing to learn
- Is reliable, punctual, and takes pride in their work
- Can work well both independently and as part of a team
- Holds a current driver's licence
- Has a White Card (desirable)
- Full-time apprenticeship with on-the-job training
- Opportunity to complete a nationally recognised qualification
