An exciting opportunity exists for a Manager to lead the development of strategic policy, governance and commercial road initiatives that shape Queensland's transport system. In this influential leadership role, you will provide high-level advice, manage complex projects and stakeholder relationships, and guide a team to deliver outcomes that support government priorities and the needs of Queensland communities.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Lead the identification, research, analysis and development of commercially focused road-related policies and strategies for application across the road system that enable the achievement of government and organisational objectives.
Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to inform policy development and management of significant matters under the concession deeds, and to ensure alignment with whole-of-government objectives.
Manage and participate in project teams, comprising internal and external resources, to provide strategic advice to decision makers, develop and implement strategic policy and ensure that branch projects are completed within quality, cost and time constraints.
Manage and provide high level leadership to a small team to deliver strategic advice and recommendations for senior management, and progress proposals/projects/initiatives relating to tolling and commercial road matters.

Requirements of the role
Experience in leading or participating in project teams and in critically analysing policies, initiatives, contracts and/or project proposals.
Strong stakeholder management skills, collaborating across multiple business areas and with external agencies to support team objectives.
Ability to work both collaboratively in a team and autonomously with minimal direction to achieve business goals and deadlines.
Experience in drafting high quality correspondence, reports, briefs and papers to facilitate accurate and timely decision making, supported by strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate complex information, tailor messaging to different audiences, and influence stakeholders through well-structured verbal and written advice.
