WE'RE HIRING MALE DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKERS IN GOLD COAST
We are looking for a caring, reliable, and motivated Male Disability Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to support NDIS participants in achieving their goals, building independence, and enjoying meaningful participation in their community.
Participant Details
- Client is a teenager with Autism Spectrum Disorder level 2 with OCD and ODD triggers
- Needs support in community access, mental health support, and assistance in daily living.
- Loves going to the gym, being active and outdoors, loves socializing with friends.
- Would benefit most from someone who can be his mentor and friend at the same time.
Schedule
- Must be amenable to day shifts.
Mandatory Requirements:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
- Current Driver's Licence
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance and current registration
- Certificate or Diploma related to disability support, individual support, community services, or a similar field (preferred but not essential)
What You'll Be Doing:
- Supporting participants with daily living activities and individual goals
- Assisting with community access, appointments, and social activities
- Encouraging independence, choice, and confidence
- Building positive and respectful relationships with participants
- Completing progress notes and following participant support plans
