Casual Support Workers / Mentors (NDIS)
We are currently seeking casual support workers and independent contractors to fill ongoing and urgent shifts supporting NDIS participants within the community.
Please note: This is a subcontractor/contractor role, and applicants must hold their own ABN.
The role involves supporting NDIS participants of all ages (children, young people, and adults) with social and community access, daily living tasks, and personal care. We are seeking experienced, compassionate individuals who are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
About the Role
Hours will vary depending on participant needs. You will be supporting individuals across a range of ages and support requirements.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting participants to access community, recreational, and social activities
- Assisting with daily living and household tasks
- Providing mentoring and positive role modelling to support independence and life skills
- Assisting with personal care and self-care tasks
- Supporting participants to achieve their NDIS goals
- Completing accurate progress notes and shift documentation
- Providing transport to activities and appointments (where required)
Essential Requirements
- Experience supporting individuals with high care needs, hoist use and manual handling preferrred but not essential
- Experience supporting people with mental health challenges
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card)
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Modules
- Current Open “C” Class Driver’s Licence
- Strong written, verbal, and computer communication skills
- Must hold an active ABN (Australian Business Number) – subcontractor role
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Highly Desirable
- Previous experience working with NDIS participants
- Qualifications in Disability, Community Services, or Support Work
