We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Environmental Services Worker – Cleaner to join our casual team. In this hands-on role, you will help create a clean, safe and welcoming home for our residents while working alongside a supportive and dedicated team.

Your primary focus will be maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the service. Your responsibilities will include:

Cleaning resident rooms, ensuites, communal areas and other facility spaces

Following infection prevention, hygiene and workplace safety procedures

Ensuring cleaning equipment, supplies and work areas are safe, clean and well maintained

Completing tasks efficiently while respecting the privacy, dignity and individual needs of residents
-
Working collaboratively with colleagues to support high-quality service delivery
As an Environmental Services Worker, you may also occasionally assist in other service areas, including:

Supporting meal service and the setup and cleaning of dining areas

Sorting, washing, drying, folding and distributing resident clothing and linen
-
Assisting the broader team to meet the day-to-day needs of the service
You are practical, dependable and take pride in creating clean and welcoming environments. You understand that working in aged care is about more than completing tasks—it is also about treating residents with kindness, patience and respect.

Strong attention to detail and good time-management skills

The ability to work independently and follow established procedures

A willingness to learn and assist across different environmental service areas

A commitment to maintaining resident dignity, privacy and wellbeing
Previous experience in aged care, hospitality, commercial cleaning or laundry services will be highly regarded but is not essential. We are happy to support the right person who shares our values and commitment to quality care.

Current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one

Current First Aid and CPR certificates, or willingness to obtain them

Basic computer skills, including email and internet use

Current Driver Licence
-
Australian working rights

At least 12 months’ experience in a cleaning, hospitality, laundry or similar role

Previous experience in an aged care or healthcare environment

Certificate II in Cookery or a related qualification
