Job Description
This is a senior digital leadership role for someone who wants to shape how Transportation delivers major infrastructure work across Australia. The role works across sectors, projects and leadership teams to improve digital delivery, scale practical tools and workflows, and turn digital investment into better project and commercial outcomes.
How you’ll make a difference

Shape and embed automated model-led delivery practices that improve consistency, quality and scalability across Transportation projects.

Work with software application specialists to create digital delivery frameworks, workflows and standards that help teams deliver complex infrastructure work with greater confidence and repeatability.

Scale practical automation and data workflows that reduce manual effort and improve delivery visibility.

Build a stronger network of software application specialists so knowledge, support and innovation are easier to access.

Partner with Sector TechEx Leaders and discipline leads to improve software governance, vendor engagement and accountability for digital investment.

Improve visibility of digital assets, software utilisation and licensing to optimise value, reduce duplication and support better investment decisions.

Grow a connected Transportation digital community that lifts capability and accelerates better ways of working.
Qualifications
The qualities that help you thrive
We are looking for someone energised by influence, complexity and the opportunity to make digital delivery work better at scale. You do not need to meet every requirement to be successful.

Senior experience in digital engineering, information management, BIM management, digital delivery or related infrastructure disciplines.

A track record of improving delivery systems, standards and ways of working across complex projects, programs or sectors.

Confidence with digital delivery platforms, engineering technologies, automation, scripting or data-enabled workflows.

Experience influencing software portfolios, licensing, vendor relationships or digital asset governance.

Commercial awareness and the ability to connect digital initiatives to productivity, consistency, margin improvement and return on investment.

Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence technical specialists, project leaders, sector directors and senior leaders.

A genuine interest in coaching others, building communities of practice and helping teams adopt better digital ways of working.
This role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane
