As the Nurse Unit Manager Level 1 you will provide strategic and operational leadership to a dedicated team delivering innovative clinical trial services within the Mid North Coast Cancer Institute (MNCCI). This is a unique opportunity to combine your clinical leadership expertise with a passion for research, driving excellence in patient care through participation in cutting-edge clinical trials.
You will oversee the day-to-day management of the Clinical Trials Unit, including staffing, rostering, budgeting, service delivery, and quality improvement initiatives. Working closely with clinicians, researchers, sponsors, and the broader MNCCI management team, you will ensure clinical trials are conducted in accordance with NSW Health policies, regulatory requirements, and best-practice standards.
You bring experience in workforce management, resource allocation, and budget oversight, along with a sound understanding of the governance and compliance requirements associated with clinical trials. Your collaborative approach enables you to build strong relationships with clinical trial sponsors, internal stakeholders, and healthcare teams while championing the important role clinical research plays in improving patient outcomes.

To provide management and clinical leadership to the team/unit and ensure that provision of appropriate, well planned and coordinated services to clients that reflect current standards of nursing practices and Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.
