DND Insulation is growing, and we're looking for a physically fit, reliable all-rounder to join our small, hardworking, and fun team!
THE ROLE:
Are you a hands-on trade professional with an eye for quality, a satisfaction in solving and fixing challenging repairs, and a drive to get things right the first time? DND Insulation is looking for a reliable, skilled Insulation Technician to join our driven team.
In this varied role, you will be the face of our craftsmanship on-site, balancing high-quality installation work, specialized wrap repairs, site assessments, and occasional logistics deliveries.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Top quality Installations & Repairs: Install bulk insulation and technical wall/roof wraps to strict Australian Standards (AS 3999/4200.2), ensuring a high end finished product that represents the business and your own work ethic.
- Site Assessments & QC: Evaluate framing readiness, identify barriers to correct installation and job completion, and accurately map out site metrics before the team arrives.
- Logistics & Deliveries: Safely operate company vans and trucks to transport materials to sites, completing daily logbooks and managing stock returns back to our Ravenhall warehouse.
- Digital Documentation: Utilisation of internal systems to track job progress, log site variances, and upload high-quality completion and clearance photos.
- Professional Representation: Maintain excellent on-site conduct and strong relationships with builders, site supervisors, and other trades.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Hands-on Trade Experience: A proven background in construction, building insulation, carpentry, or a similar physical trade. Insulation installation experience is highly preferred, but not essential.
- Technical Aptitude and Communication skills: Ability to read and accurately interpret marked-up construction plans, conveying requirements to both site managers and the office team in both directions.
- Compliance Ready: Must hold a valid Australian Driver’s License and a Construction White Card.
- Physical Fitness: High stamina to handle bulk materials, lift stock, and work in tight or elevated spaces comfortably.
- Communication & Tech Skills: Clear communication skills and comfort using smartphone applications on-site. Forklift experience is a bonus, but not required.
