As the Network Engineer, you will support our customers through day-to-day maintenance, support of the network environment, core network upgrades and projects, monitoring network performance and ensuring system availability and reliability. Your expertise will ensure that we are delivering innovative solutions to our customers with a focus on superior customer service.
Some of the key things you’ll do:
- Responsible for the network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls and other network devices.
- Oversee BAU operations, ensuring optimal network performance and compliance of firewalls, routers, switches, wireless, and load balancers.
- Monitor network performance, resolve incidents proactively and ensure service continuity within SLAs.
- Assist with and execute network projects, ensuring smooth handover to operations.
- Maintain policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure high service standards.
- Develop and maintain documents, network diagrams, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide technical solutions and drive continuous enhancements.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven expertise as a Network Engineer managing BAU operations in an MSP environment.
- Strong skills in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting:
- Routing & Switching: Cisco (ASR/Nexus), Meraki, SD-WANs (Fortinet, Meraki).
- Firewalls: Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco.
- Load Balancers: Citrix, F5.
- Wireless: Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet.
- Virtualisation - NSX-T (preferred).
- Hands-on experience with SD-WAN and Azure networking is essential with SASE solutions preferred.
- Ability to support multi-tenant environments and clients with varying architectures and business needs.
- High analytical and troubleshooting skills with ability to diagnose complex issues, provide workarounds, and manage multiple troubleshooting streams.
- Growth mindset, can-do attitude, and customer-first focus, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Strong ITIL/ITSM knowledge, with relevant network certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP) highly desirable.
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
