GRNSW is looking for a creative and proactive Social Media Manager to take ownership of the organic social media presence for TheDogs.com.au and GAP NSW. You’ll be the lead for creating engaging content, bringing race days and adoption stories to life, managing community engagement and helping to grow our audiences across multiple platforms.
This is a fast-paced and varied role where no two days are the same. One day you could be sharing race-day highlights, the next you could be helping a retired greyhound find its forever home.
- Own and manage the day-to-day social media activity for TheDogs.com.au and GAP NSW.
- Create, schedule and publish engaging content across social media platforms, including posts, stories, reels and short-form video.
- Develop and maintain content calendars that support racing, adoption, welfare and marketing priorities.
- Monitor, engage and grow online communities while maintaining a positive and professional brand presence.
- Coordinate with photographers, videographers, racing clubs and internal stakeholders to source timely and compelling content.
- Monitor social media sentiment, identify emerging trends and escalate reputational issues where required.
- Analyse performance and provide insights to continuously improve engagement, reach and audience growth.
- Proven experience managing social media channels, content creation and community engagement.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, content trends and audience behaviour.
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills.
- Experience creating visual and video content using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Comfortable working flexibly to support race meetings, events, campaigns and time-sensitive content.
- A passion for digital storytelling, sport, racing, animal welfare or community engagement is highly regarded.
- Positive, proactive and collaborative approach with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and make things happen!
- Christmas holiday shutdown period for two weeks.
