As a GM Support Officer, you will play a vital role in providing high-level, confidential administrative and secretarial support to the General Manager of Program Performance within Biosecurity Queensland's National Fire Ant Eradication Program. Based in Berrinba, you will ensure the General Manager is well-prepared for all meetings and engagements by managing their diary, monitoring emails, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a proactive, organised, and detail-oriented individual who can work autonomously and contribute to a high performing team environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a GM Support Officer, you will:
Provide high-level, confidential secretarial and administrative support, including diary management, email monitoring, and correspondence preparation for the General Manager of Program Performance. Arrange and coordinate appointments, meetings, events, travel, and accommodation, while managing financial, purchasing, and administrative tasks.
Maintain accurate and secure records in line with information management principles and ensure all documentation adheres to departmental standards and style guides.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the General Manager is supported and well-prepared for all engagements.
Actively contribute to a high-performing team by improving operating procedures and supporting a positive workplace culture.
