Solara Support Services are seeking 2-3 compassionate and reliable Support Workers to support a male participant in North Brisbane, 1 female in Moorooka, 1 female in Strathpine
Available Opportunities
- Moorooka – Female participant 3 × 5-hour weekday shifts
- North Brisbane – Male participant 2 × 5-hour weekday shifts
- Strathpine – Female participant 3 × 4-hour weekday shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with daily living activities
- Meal preparation
- Light household duties including cleaning and laundry
- Grocery shopping and errands
- Transport to appointments and community activities
- Supporting social outings and participation in hobbies and interests
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Completing progress notes and documentationAbout You
We are looking for someone who is warm, engaging, and genuinely enjoys spending time with people. While there are practical support tasks involved, this role is equally about providing companionship and meaningful social interaction.
The participant values having someone who will sit with him, have a chat, watch a movie, show interest in topics he's passionate about, and be actively engaged in his day. We are seeking a support worker who is present, personable, and committed to building a positive relationship with the participant.
Essential Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
- Chatty, kind and bubbly personality
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable and professional approach
