About Us
This is an exciting opportunity to work in our State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) who regulates three statutory insurance schemes in NSW. This role sits more specifically in our newly established Actuarial Services team, where you will have the opportunity to create actuarial processes and help establish the team culture and ways of working.

Your responsibilities will include:

Undertake detailed and complex analysis to improve understanding of scheme performance, key drivers and emerging risks.

Apply in-depth actuarial and analytical skills to investigate trends and outcomes

Build and maintain analysis and models that are structured, repeatable and appropriately documented.

Monitor, evaluate and report on scheme performance
-
Support peer review and assurance activities by assisting with review of actuarial methods, assumptions, outputs and documentation produced internally and/or by regulated insurers.

Communicate complex modelling and analytical results clearly to the actuarial team

Manage workload effectively to deliver outcomes within specified timeframes, escalating risks/issues early.

Develop and maintain working knowledge of relevant legislation, scheme processes and actuarial requirements/standards applicable to the schemes regulated by SIRA.

You have working experience with analytics and data tools such as R, Python and SQL.
