Missions/Main Duties:
The role
As a Drafter specialising in Rail Track Alignment and Civil Infrastructure, you will transform engineering concepts into high-quality, construction-ready design deliverables.
Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will develop detailed 2D and 3D rail designs while ensuring all documentation aligns with applicable Australian rail standards and client requirements.
You’ll be involved in:

Preparing detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for rail, civil, earthworks, drainage, and corridor projects.

Producing construction-ready documentation in line with client and rail authority standards.

Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to support design reviews and resolve clashes.

Maintaining drawing registers, revision control, and accurate project data in cloud-based systems.

Reviewing drawings and engineering information to ensure quality, accuracy, and constructability.
Profile/Skills:
What we’re looking for
You’ll hold an Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with proven rail infrastructure experience and a strong understanding of rail engineering principles, standards and project delivery.
To be successful, you’ll have:

Demonstrated experience in rail infrastructure drafting within heavy rail, light rail, metro, or transport environments.

Strong understanding of rail geometry, civil design principles, earthworks, drainage, and corridor infrastructure.

Experience applying Australian rail industry standards and specifications.

Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.

Extensive 2D AutoCAD experience. Other rail design and digital engineering platforms are welcomed.
