We are looking for an experienced and reliable Solar Installer / Roofer to join our installation team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality workmanship, and wants to grow their career in the renewable energy industry.
About the Role
As a Solar Installer / Roofer, you will be responsible for supporting the installation of solar PV systems, including roof preparation, mounting systems, and assisting with complete solar installations.
You will work closely with our electricians and installation team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Install solar panel mounting systems on tile, metal, and flat roof types.
- Carry out roof preparation, flashing, and sealing works.
- Measure, mark, and position mounting brackets according to installation requirements.
- Assist with solar panel installation and cable management.
- Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
- Work safely at heights using appropriate fall protection equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
- Complete installation tasks efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards.
- Communicate effectively with electricians, installers, and project teams.
Requirements
- Previous roofing, solar installation, or construction experience preferred.
- Experience working on rooftops and at heights.
- Working at Heights Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- White Card (Construction Induction).
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and on roofs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- Experience installing solar mounting systems.
- Experience with residential or commercial solar projects.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Basic understanding of solar installation processes.
