About Suzy's
Suzy's is one of Perth's most anticipated new venues — a modern Italian-inspired restaurant at the water's edge in Hillarys Boat Harbour. Everything about Suzy's is considered. The food is beautiful, the drinks are crafted, and the details — right down to the crockery — are chosen with intention. We are a venue where the standard is high and the atmosphere is effortless. By day, Suzy's is a destination in its own right — high-quality specialty coffee, carefully crafted matchas, cold foams, and seasonal creations designed to look as good as they taste. Our drinks are made to be noticed. We have a strong and engaged social media community, and our bar menu plays a real role in that. We need a barista who understands that and takes genuine pride in every cup they put out. We have not even opened yet and the anticipation has already exceeded our expectations.
The Role
This is not your average café barista role. At Suzy's, the coffee bar is a key part of the guest experience and the brand identity. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional specialty coffee and a creative drinks menu that spans matcha, cold foams, and on-trend seasonal offerings — all executed to a consistently high standard. Presentation is everything here. Every drink that leaves the bar needs to be visually stunning, and your latte art needs to be second nature. You will be working in a fast-paced environment where quality and aesthetics are non-negotiable, and where your work will regularly be seen by our growing online audience.
What We are Looking For
You are an experienced barista with a genuine passion for specialty coffee and creative drinks. Your latte art is consistently strong, your technique is precise, and you take real pride in the presentation of everything you make. Experience with matcha preparation and cold foam drinks will put you ahead of the pack — or a willingness to master them quickly. You have an eye for aesthetics and an awareness of what makes a drink stop someone mid-scroll. You work cleanly and efficiently under pressure, and you understand that at Suzy's, the bar is part of the show. You are personable, well-presented, and you bring the right energy to every shift. Suzy's is a full-service venue, and during long lunches and into the afternoon, guests will be ordering wines and cocktails alongside their coffee and matcha. You will need to be comfortable and confident across the full bar — this is not a role for someone who only wants to be behind the espresso machine.
A valid WA RSA is required.
