Aim of the role:
To deliver a consistent food experience that achieves the goals and objectives of our restaurant and ensures a consistently high stand of meals and service provided to our customers.
The Chef Is Responsible For:
Reporting to the head chef and senior chefs.
You will share in the responsibility of managing apprentice chefs and kitchen hands while assisting and administering all phases of the kitchen operation ensuring that the kitchen is run to the company's operational standards.
Supervise the incoming goods and prepartion of all food
You will ensure food is prepared per food hygiene and preparation requirements. Ensure meals are produced on time, in sufficient quantities and are available for the various areas. Assist in maintaing stock levels of all kitchen supplies
Training of staff and quality control:
Mentoring and training of apprentices and enforcing restaurant systems, procedures and hygiene regulations. Ensuring presentation and quality control in own section as well as keeping an eye on junior staff. Demonstrating food preparation techniques and advising staff
Skills required for this role:
An eye for detail and exceptional quality. Able to work within a team environment. Understanding of Health and Safety Regulations. Good organisational and communication skills.Highly motivated and a strong work ethic. Reliable and energetic with a passion for food
Experience/Knowledge:
You will require two years’ experience in a Chef position, post qualification. Understanding and experience in preparation of Middle Eastern and Armenian food and a trade qualified to Diploma in Cookery or higher
