Smart Home Systems Integrator // Geek Chic Home Systems
Geek Chic Home Systems is bringing on a full-time Smart Home Systems Integrator to join our deployment team in Brisbane. Located at 141 Queen St in the CBD, this permanent role comes with a base salary of AUD 84,000 per year plus super. You will be responsible for programming, configuring, and commissioning residential automation environments, connecting high-end audio-visual layouts, automated lighting networks, and climate systems into seamless residential platforms.
The Work Program
Your primary focus will be taking engineering designs and turning them into fully functioning smart home ecosystems. On any given week, you will find yourself on-site configuring network switches, setting up local Wi-Fi access points, and programming control systems like Control4, Crestron, or Savant. You will balance your time between building stable local area networks (LANs), mapping out IP addresses, troubleshooting device communication issues, and testing automation macros. When deployments are complete, you will also handle client orientations, walking homeowners through their custom touch panels and mobile interfaces to ensure a clean handoff.
The Background We Value
We are looking for someone who has a solid background in residential AV installation or low-voltage systems integration. You should have practical experience configuring network hardware, managing routers, and troubleshooting wireless interference in residential structures. A strong working knowledge of structural cabling, termination techniques, and AV routing protocols is highly valued, along with a methodical approach to tracking down complex signal flow drops or IP conflicts.
Requirement: This position is based permanently in Brisbane and requires full, unrestricted legal working rights within Australia at the time of application.
