Amstel Golf Club Incorporated is a well-established member-based golf club located in Cranbourne, Victoria, with over 12,000 members. The Club offers high-quality dining experiences through its busy bistro and hospitality operations and is seeking an experienced full-time Chef to join its professional kitchen team.
We are searching for a fulltime chef who has experience in all areas of Commercial Kitchen Operations and who enjoys working in a Positive Team Environment.
The successful applicant must possess a good work ethic and enjoy a variety of weekday and weekend shifts. You must also have a minimum of 2 years work experience in a large bistro with demonstrated abilities to cope in a busy environment working across various food preparation and cooking sections in a commercial kitchen.
A Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery is the required qualification with a demonstrated proficiency in good communication with a professional approach to the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and order food supplies.
- Monitor the quality of dishes throughout preparation and presentation.
- Liaise with management and kitchen staff regarding food preparation and service requirements.
- Demonstrate cooking techniques and provide guidance on food preparation procedures.
- Prepare and cook a wide range of meals to a high standard.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Assist with training and supervision of kitchen staff where required.
- Store, freeze and preserve food products in accordance with food safety standards.
Participation in ongoing training and improvement is mandatory.

The salary range for this position will be $75k - 85K plus Superannuation recognising relevant skillsets and education levels achieved.
