Position: Disability Support Worker (Casual)
We are currently seeking passionate, reliable, and motivated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team on a casual basis.
This role involves providing tailored support to NDIS participants in their homes and within the community, while promoting independence, choice, dignity, and social inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality person-centred care and support
- Assist participants with daily living activities and personal care
- Support participants with community access, social engagement, and recreational activities
- Provide safe transportation to appointments, programs, and community activities
- Assist with medication administration in accordance with care plans and organisational policies
- Support participants with household tasks and daily routines
- Maintain accurate progress notes and incident reporting documentation
- Promote participant rights, dignity, privacy, and independence at all times
- Follow NDIS Practice Standards, workplace policies, and WHS requirements
- Work collaboratively with families, coordinators, allied health professionals, and internal teams
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have the following:
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
- Current CPR Certificate
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- Right to work in Australia
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, sleepovers, and public holidays when required
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Community Services, or related field
- Experience supporting participants with:
- High-intensity care needs
- Complex behaviours
- Mental health
- Autism spectrum disorder
- Physical disabilities
- Manual handling and mobility support
- Medication administration experience
- Experience with SIL, respite, and community participation supports
