As the Learning & Organisational Development Officer, you'll play a key role in designing, delivering and coordinating learning and development opportunities across Council. From facilitating engaging face-to-face training to supporting career development, induction and organisational development initiatives, you'll help our people build the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
Working as part of the People & Culture team, you'll work closely with leaders, employees and subject matter experts to identify learning needs, develop practical learning solutions and deliver programs that support Council's goal of being a learning organisation. You'll also contribute to initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, workforce development and continuous improvement.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, facilitating learning and seeing the impact that development can have on individuals and teams. You'll be practical, collaborative and organised, with a genuine interest in helping people learn, grow and achieve their potential.

- Remuneration of $3,476.98 gross per fortnight, with the opportunity to progress to $4,172.38 gross per fortnight, plus 12% superannuation.

Duties of this position will include, but are not limited to
As the Learning & Organisational Development Officer, you will:
- Design, develop and deliver engaging learning and development programs, including face-to-face training, professional development and compliance training.
- Partner with leaders, employees and Subject Matter Experts to identify learning needs and develop practical learning solutions and resources.
- Provide learning, coaching and career development support to employees and leaders, contributing to Council’s learning organisation.
- Support organisational development initiatives, including employee engagement, induction, IPDP, Employee Opinion Survey and continuous improvement activities.
- Coordinate learning, career and employment pathway initiatives, including traineeships, apprenticeships, work placements and careers activities.
- Administer Council’s LMS and support learning records, reporting, compliance training and the operation of the Bob Osborne Skills Centre.
You'll be successful in this role if you:
- Have experience designing, delivering and facilitating engaging learning and development programs.
- Are a confident communicator and facilitator who can build relationships and engage people at all levels.
- Can identify learning needs and develop practical solutions that support individual and organisational capability.
- Have an interest in organisational development, employee engagement and continuous improvement.
- Are organised, collaborative and customer-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes.
