Reporting to the Director, Professional Teaching Practice, this role is responsible for developing educator capability and organisational capacity to deliver excellence in learning and teaching, with a specialist focus on the responsible, ethical and effective use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Working across Vocational Education, Higher Education, Foundation Studies and International programs, you will partner with educators and educational leaders to build capability in contemporary pedagogy, lead professional learning initiatives, facilitate coaching and mentoring programs, and support the adoption of evidence-informed AI practices that enhance teaching quality and student outcomes.

What You'll Do
- Design and deliver professional learning programs that strengthen teaching practice across the organisation
- Facilitate coaching and mentoring programs that support educator growth and continuous improvement
- Build educator capability in contemporary pedagogy, High Impact Teaching Strategies and AI-informed teaching practice
- Lead AI capability development aligned to Melbourne Polytechnic frameworks, standards and guidelines
- Support educators in the ethical, safe and responsible use of AI technologies
- Guide educators in evaluating AI-generated outputs and selecting appropriate AI tools for learning and teaching
- Facilitate communities of practice, professional dialogue and cross-department collaboration
- Support curriculum implementation and the adoption of innovative teaching approaches
- Contribute to organisational frameworks, standards and initiatives relating to learning, teaching and AI
- Engage in learning and teaching research activities that inform evidence-based practice and organisational improvement
- Education qualifications at least AQF7 with higher qualifications desirable
- Significant teaching experience across education sectors, with demonstrated expertise in contemporary learning and teaching practices
- Experience in educational leadership, coaching, mentoring or capability development roles
- Strong understanding of AI applications in education and their impact on teaching and learning
- Demonstrated ability to build educator capability in AI-informed teaching practice
- Experience designing and facilitating professional learning and development programs
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills using reflective practice approaches
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Ability to influence, collaborate and work effectively across diverse educational contexts
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage complex and competing priorities
- Commitment to ethical practice, inclusion and student-centred learning
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Experience using instructional coaching models to support educator capability development
- Experience evaluating emerging educational technologies, including AI
- Engagement in scholarship, research or professional practice relating to digital learning or AI-enabled education
