Razzie’s is a new quick service burger shop opening in the Sydney CBD, serving fresh smashburgers, hot dogs, loaded sides, and proper comfort food.
We’re looking for a positive, reliable, and hands-on Assistant Manager to help lead our opening team. This role is about supporting the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, helping develop the team, maintaining high standards, and making sure every shift runs smoothly.
As an Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with the leadership team to create a great experience for both customers and staff. You’ll lead from the front, support the team during busy periods, help solve problems, and play an important role in building the culture and standards of Razzie’s from day one.
We’re starting with one location, but the goal is much bigger. Razzie’s has plans to grow into multiple locations, and we want good people to grow with us. As the business expands, there will be opportunities to take on greater leadership responsibilities and grow into more senior management roles.

As an Assistant Manager, you'll be involved in:
Leading shifts and helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations- Supporting, coaching, and developing team members
- Creating a positive, respectful, and high-performing team culture
- Assisting with onboarding and training new employees
- Helping maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
- Monitoring food safety, cleanliness, and workplace health and safety requirements
- Supporting stock management, ordering, stocktakes, and inventory control
- Assisting with rostering and labour management
- Managing customer enquiries, feedback, and service recovery when required
- Supporting both Back of House and Front of House operations
- Helping ensure service times, quality standards, and operational procedures are followed
- Opening and closing the restaurant when required
- Handling cash management and daily operational procedures
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes, and team performance
- Supporting the Restaurant Manager in achieving business goals and operational targets
We're looking for people who have:
Previous experience in a supervisory, shift leadership, or management role within hospitality, quick service restaurants, cafes, takeaway, or similar environments- Strong leadership and communication skills
- The ability to motivate, support, and develop team members
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
- A strong understanding of customer service and hospitality
- Knowledge of food safety, workplace health and safety, and operational standards
- The ability to remain calm and make good decisions during busy service periods
- A positive attitude and willingness to lead by example
- Availability to work a flexible roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
- An interest in helping grow a new business and building a strong team culture
