About the Business
B&D Group Pty Ltd (trading as Meat & Me) is an Australia-based retail-focused e-commerce and food import business specialising in the sourcing, marketing and sale of premium Taiwanese food and beverage products. The company imports products from Taiwan and local Australian suppliers and operates warehousing and distribution networks servicing customers across Australia.
Meat & Me operates through both online and physical retail channels, targeting both wholesale (B2B) and retail (B2C) customers. The business also operates its own e-commerce systems and mobile application platforms to support sales, inventory, warehousing, membership and customer management functions.
As the business continues to grow, the company is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to support the ongoing development, integration and optimisation of its software applications and operational systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement and maintain software applications and integrated systems across H5, mobile application and PC platforms for both wholesale and retail operations.
- Redevelop and optimise existing e-commerce platform functions to improve operational efficiency, scalability and customer experience.
- Analyse business and operational requirements and develop customised software solutions to support sales, procurement, inventory control, warehousing and distribution management.
- Develop and maintain internal sales management systems and inventory management systems to support daily business operations.
- Develop warehouse and stock procurement management systems, including automation of inventory and stock movement data processing.
- Design and develop membership management systems, customer account systems and related data management functions.
- Integrate and optimise software systems between online sales platforms, internal operational systems and third-party applications.
- Conduct software testing, debugging, troubleshooting and performance optimisation to ensure system reliability and functionality.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, system specifications and software development records.
- Monitor, support and continuously improve existing software applications and systems in response to business growth and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with management and stakeholders to identify new software development opportunities and implement technology solutions aligned with the company’s long-term business strategy.
Qualification Required
- Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
Skills and Experience Required
- At least 2 years’ experience in software application development, system integration and software maintenance.
- Experience in e-commerce platform development, inventory management systems, warehouse management systems or retail operational systems will be highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, implementation and ongoing support.
- Ability to analyse business requirements and develop practical and scalable software solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and technical documentation skills.
