Your responsibilities will include:
Our energetic, innovative and dynamic Program Management team is in search of a
Project Managers to join our expanding Maritime team in Adelaide.
These roles offer the opportunity to work across Maritime programs contributing to the design, integration and delivery of advanced combat systems.
You’ll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment where your work directly supports mission-critical capability for the Australian Defence Force.
Responsibilities:-
Lead or coordinate project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management, progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management.

Ensure project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost. Monitor performance and recommend schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions updates in accordance with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles as required.

Solve technical and non technical problems throughout the life of the project, but tries to resolve problems during the design and planning phases whenever possible.

Oversee and coordinate work performed by outside contractors. Provide timely and accurate information and status updates to project sponsors, end users and management.

Participate in budget development and evaluating how project plan changes impact cost and schedule. May be responsible for feasibility studies and field trials management. Issues stop-work order when adverse risk is identified.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will need the following qualifications and experience.-
Qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in a related discipline, or equivalent experience / combined education, including substantial professional experience.

Proven experience as a Project Manager in a multidisciplinary environment managing complex, medium scale programs (preferably within an IT or engineering project environment)

Proven experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders across the Company with respect to Project Management activities. Extensive experience within an engineering/technical organisation within a Defence environment *

Previous experience with bids, proposal and business development activities.

Utilisation of a range of Project Management tools and methodologies with a high degree of competence, including experience developing new project plans and delivery methods.

Substantial knowledge of AS4360 (Risk Management), ISO9001 (Quality Systems), and AS04817 (Earned Value Management)

Strong understanding of the interfaces between Programs and the Systems Engineering Lifecycle

Substantial experience with Prince2 or PMBOK project management methodology
