As a Senior Occupational Therapist within the Bayside Child and Youth Mental Health Service, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health care to children and young people while supporting service development, clinical excellence and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Deliver advanced Occupational Therapy assessment, intervention and evaluation services within a specialist child and youth mental health setting, managing a complex and varied caseload.
Work collaboratively within a high-performing multidisciplinary team to provide recovery-oriented, patient-centred care and support positive outcomes for consumers and their families.
Contribute to the development, implementation and review of evidence-based clinical practices, service improvements, quality initiatives and research activities.
Provide clinical leadership through supervision, mentoring and education of junior clinicians, students and Allied Health Assistants, while acting as a key clinical resource for the team.
About you:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist who is passionate about improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people and committed to delivering excellence in clinical care.
Demonstrated expertise in delivering Occupational Therapy services within a mental health setting, including the ability to manage complex clinical presentations with a high degree of professional autonomy.
Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with consumers, families, multidisciplinary teams and community partners.
Proven ability to prioritise workload, exercise sound clinical judgement and contribute to service delivery within a complex and dynamic healthcare environment.
Experience providing supervision, coaching and support to developing clinicians and students, alongside a commitment to continuous improvement, quality initiatives and evidence-based practice.
